Episode 19 (Season 2) Rest: As an Active Work of Surrender Guests: Lauren Huffines, Sam Huffines

Wednesday, July 13, 2022

About the Episode:
Join us for a series on Rest in which we discuss what it means to take time to be still in a world that is so addicted to activity. We are going to talk about how rhythms of rest, stillness, and quiet can be a blessing in our lives. In this episode, Mark interviews Lauren and Sam Huffines on how to find rest as a married couple and young family. The trio discusses the importance of a framework around how to decide what to say yes to, the power of community and fellowship in the same stage of life, and finding rest in a culture that challenges us to keep an unsustainable pace. Sometimes, the casualty of such a pace is the marriage and it’s so important to put time in to remember why you got married and why you love each other. Through surrender, we find our foundation in doing things WITH God.
